(i)post

It seems that in the modern times of our society today, things that we use appears to be disturbingly different in their definitions and the ways they are presented. It seems that anything which is to be associated to the term “cool”, “modern” or probably “atttractive” is commonly represented by the ninth letter of the English alphabet also known as the vowel ‘i’, in front of the known product. Well this can be seen largely from items such as Osim’s “iGallop” or “iSqueeze”. The movie “iRobot” and even a friends blog of mine also known as “iKaylin” which is among my blogroll. No doubt, this outburst of “i”s is probably started by Apple and it’s iPod. As far as I can remember, the iPod was the first thing I can remember as as MP3 player. Right now you can get the iPhone wrapped in am iLuv sillicon casing. So how does the addition of the humble “i” deem an item or anything from just-another-one-of-those to now-thats-one-of-the-specials? Well, come to think about it, try saying something like, “I drive a car”. Like any sensical person, you will probably ask what’s the dam big deal about piloting 4 wheels right? Well, rephrase it and say “I drive an iCar”. Now that changes everything correct? Your brain will probably spring into activity and ponder what the heck is this (maybe, does not apply to all) cool car? Second thing may be just the sound of it, surely it sounds pleasant to have an “i” in front of almost anything. You wont probably want to have iShit though. So anyone out there who wants to be uber cool, maybe you can start picturing yourself 10 years down the road driving an iCar. Living in an iFlat with you kids attending iSchool. Your wife will be likely to employ an iMaid and almost everything that comes in contact with you shall have the single vowel “i” in front of it. Not to froget, you sooo gotta read this iPost 🙂
